Egyptian Minister to Take Part in Tehran International Trade Fair TEHRAN Egyptian Minister for Public Business sector Mokhtar Khatab will take part in Tehran International Trade Fair due to be held on October 1-8, Egypt's interest section in Tehran said in a press release on Wednesday.
Egypt's interest section said that Mokhtar Khatab will head a large business delegation from 55 Egyptian companies to Tehran.
Dr. Khatab is expected to hold talks with Iranian Minister of Commerce Mohammad Shariatmadari and with Head of Iranian Chamber of Commerce Ali-Naqi Khamoushi beside a number of Iranian officials, the press release said.
"On the other hand Iran will hold a major trade exhibition in Cairo next November. The surge in the volume of trade between the two countries is considered as a major element in the improvement of bilateral relations," it said.
Doha to Host Islamic Summit on November 12-14 JEDDAH, Saudi Arabia Qatar is to host a summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) on November 12-14, the Saudi-based OIC said Wednesday, AFP reported.
Foreign ministers of the 56-member organization are to meet in Doha on November 10 and 11 to set the agenda.
Qatar is taking over the OIC presidency from Iran.
UN Secretary General Kofi Annan is expected to take part in the summit.
